Free Enneagram Discovery Test
This identifies the specific pattern driving why you keep ending up in the same situations – and the core motivation underneath the behavior, not just a description of it.
Nine questions. Your core type revealed. The motivation underneath the behavior – not just a description of it.
How the Enneagram Discovery Test
Measures Your Type
The INTI NAN Enneagram Discovery Test identifies your type by what drives you, not by what you do. Most personality assessments measure observable behavior: how you act in a meeting, what you choose at a restaurant, whether you raise your voice. Behavior is the surface. The Enneagram works underneath it. Each of the nine types is defined by a specific core fear it is moving away from and a specific core desire it is moving toward. Two people can take the same action for completely different internal reasons. Behavior tests will conflate them. Motivation tests will not.
This nine-question test asks about the fear that runs underneath your decisions and the desire that quietly shapes what you reach for first. The questions are short, the language is direct, and the result appears immediately. You receive your Enneagram type, a brief description of the core fear and core desire that define it, and a note on where it sits in the INTI NAN three-world system.
Type identification is the starting coordinate in Kay Pacha, the Middle World of personality and daily life. The full pathway picture maps three coordinates: Enneagram type in Kay Pacha, Soul Type in Hanan Pacha, and Healing Pathway in Ukhu Pacha. Together they produce one of 189 named pathways.
About This Test
What does the Enneagram Discovery Test measure?
The INTI NAN Enneagram Discovery Test measures core motivation – the specific fear driving your behavior and the desire you are always moving toward. Unlike behavior-based tests, it identifies your Kay Pacha coordinate: your Enneagram type in the Middle World of the three-world framework.
How long does the Enneagram Discovery Test take?
The INTI NAN Enneagram Discovery Test has nine questions focused on core motivation rather than behavior, and takes approximately four minutes to complete. Results show your Enneagram type, which of 21 named pathways your type belongs to, and your Kay Pacha coordinate in the three-world system.
What do I receive when I complete the test?
You receive your Enneagram type, a description of your core motivation and fear in the INTI NAN Kay Pacha framework, and which of 21 named pathways your type belongs to. The result shows the starting point. The Karpay maps all three dimensions into the one specific pathway that is yours.
What is the difference between the free test and the Karpay?
The INTI NAN Enneagram Discovery Test identifies your Kay Pacha coordinate – your Enneagram type in the Middle World of daily life and personality. It is the first of three dimensions. The Karpay then maps all three coordinates together into one of 189 named pathways™ that is specifically yours.

The Enneagram framework in its modern psychological form was developed by Oscar Ichazo and Claudio Naranjo in the 1960s and 1970s and has been extensively documented by the Enneagram Institute. The INTI NAN system adapts the Enneagram as one of three dimensions that together map a person’s full pathway.
The Soul Type framework is adapted from the Michael Teachings tradition, originally channeled by Chelsea Quinn Yarbro and developed across several decades of study. Within INTI NAN it represents the essence dimension of the pathway – what the person brought in rather than what they learned.
The three-world cosmological structure (Hanan Pacha, Kay Pacha, Ukhu Pacha) and the three healing pathways – Energy Healing (Kawsay Hampiy), Karmic Healing (Nawpa Hampiy), and Shamanic Healing (Paqo Hampiy) – are drawn from Andean Q’ero tradition, the indigenous Andean people widely regarded as the keepers of the original Inca spiritual tradition.
The framework is documented across anthropological and linguistic scholarship as a pre-Hispanic cosmological system rooted in the Quechua language. For further reading see the Pacha (Inca mythology) article, which draws on colonial Quechua sources including the chronicles of Jesuit historian Jose de Acosta, and Constance Classen, Inca Cosmology and the Human Body (University of Utah Press, 1993).
