The Heart Paqo Pathway
You serve the hearts of others through sacred ceremony - your love itself becoming medicine.
The attentiveness you bring into a room. People feel it before they can name it, this quality of being genuinely seen by someone who arrived already oriented toward them. You do not perform care. You arrive with it, and the room rearranges itself around that fact. Shamanic Healing in this pathway is not dramatic or distant. It lives in the gesture you make before the person asks, in the way you stay after the others have left.

INTI NAN is a self-discovery framework grounded in Andean Q'ero cosmology. It maps three dimensions of who you are: the Enneagram type that shapes how you act in the world, the Soul Type that names why you came, and the Healing Path that names how you return to wholeness. The convergence of one of each produces 189 unique pathways. This is one of them.
In Andean tradition, a Paqo is a practitioner who works directly with living energy on behalf of others. The Heart Paqo names the convergence where a Server soul, oriented entirely toward the needs of those it loves, meets the relational depth of Type 2 and the direct-contact work of Shamanic Healing. The name points to love itself functioning as the primary instrument of change.

How This Pathway Shows Up
You are the one who already knows what someone needs before they say it.
Recognition does not always arrive as insight. Sometimes it arrives as a behavior you have always explained away. The five markers below describe what this pathway looks like from the outside. Read them slowly. The ones that make you pause are the ones that matter.
- Someone leaves a family dinner looking flattened, and you follow them out to the parking lot. You do not ask what is wrong. You just stand there with them until the right thing comes up naturally.
- A colleague sends an email that reads as perfectly fine to everyone else. You read it twice and then check in with them privately, because the tone was slightly off and you noticed.
- You remember, without trying, that a friend mentioned a difficult conversation they were going to have last Thursday. On Friday morning you send a single message asking how it went.
- At a gathering, you scan the room without thinking about it. You have already clocked who is standing alone, who is performing comfort they do not feel, and who needs to be drawn into the conversation.
- When someone you love is in real difficulty, you do not offer advice. You show up with something physical: food, your presence at their door, a specific errand completed that they had been putting off.
The Three Worlds Within You
INTI NAN maps three dimensions: who you are now (Kay Pacha, Enneagram), why you came (Hanan Pacha, Soul Type), how you heal (Ukhu Pacha, Healing). Your pathway is the convergence of one of each.
Love as Orientation
The Type 2 pattern runs toward connection before it runs toward anything else.
Puma's domain is how this pathway acts in the world of the everyday. For a Type 2, the fundamental orientation is toward relationship. This pathway reads emotional states accurately and responds to them practically. The strength of this position is genuine attunement. The risk is that the same attunement that makes this pathway so effective at caring for others can become a mechanism for avoiding the question of what this pathway itself needs. The care given is real. The cost is real too, and it tends to go unacknowledged for a long time.
Built to Serve
The Server soul, Uywaq in Quechua, arrives already knowing that its work is for others.
Kuntur names the Hanan Pacha dimension: the soul's reason for being here. The Server soul does not need to acquire the orientation toward service; it arrives with it. Uywaq, the one who nurtures, names a way of existing that places the wellbeing of the group at the center of every decision. In this pathway, the Server soul and the Type 2 pattern reinforce one another completely. The risk of this reinforcement is that the line between genuine calling and compulsive self-erasure becomes harder to locate. Both feel identical in the moment of acting.
Contact as the Method
Shamanic Healing works through direct presence, not distance or abstraction.
Amaru governs the Ukhu Pacha, the domain of return and renewal. Shamanic Healing in this pathway operates through direct contact: the practitioner enters the other person's reality, not from a removed position, but adjacently. For a Server soul expressing through Type 2, this means the Shamanic approach fits with unusual precision. This pathway does not observe from outside. It moves toward. The care it offers is contact-based rather than advisory. The growth this pathway is asked to do is learning when to step back, not because the care is wrong, but because space can be its own form of generosity.
When a Server soul, a Type 2 pattern, and a Shamanic approach converge, what emerges is a practitioner whose instrument is love and whose method is presence. The soul supplies the direction: toward others, always. The type supplies the attunement: reading the room, reading the person, reading the moment. The Shamanic approach supplies the contact: close, direct, at the level of lived experience. Together, the three produce something that the soul alone, or the type alone, could not: a capacity to meet people exactly where they are and shift the quality of what is happening there, without a plan, through the act of being genuinely present.
In Your Life
In Love
You keep track of the things your partner mentions once and never brings up again. The restaurant they said they had always wanted to try. The appointment they were nervous about. On the day of the appointment you send a message at the right time, not because you planned to, but because you were already paying attention. This is what love looks like from the inside of this pathway: continuous, low-key attentiveness that rarely announces itself and almost never asks to be thanked.
At Work
In a meeting where the agenda is moving fast, you are also tracking the person who has gone quiet. When the room breaks up, you stop them in the hallway. Not to make something of it. Just to ask a specific question that lets them know you noticed. Your colleagues often describe you as the person who holds the team together, though they would have difficulty saying exactly how. What you do is practical and relational at once: you fill in the spaces that no job description ever covers.
In Family
Holiday dinners involve a kind of quiet logistics that only you run. Who is not talking to whom. Who needs to be seated away from whom. Who needs to feel useful and who needs to be left alone. You set the table accordingly and no one notices the architecture of it. When something does go sideways, you are the one who follows the person who left early. You do not always solve it. But you show up, and in this family, showing up consistently is what sustains things.
In Friendship
A friend calls you when something falls apart because they know you will answer, and if you cannot answer you will call back within the hour. You do not offer a lot of opinions unless asked. You ask questions, and the questions are specific enough that the person talking realizes they know more about what they are going through than they thought. That is what this pathway does in friendship: it creates the conditions in which people can hear themselves more clearly. You are the reason some friendships survive what they survive.
What Sets This Apart
The Heart Paqo is the only configuration where Server soul, Type 2, and Shamanic contact converge.
All three siblings carry Server soul and Type 2 depth, which means all three are genuinely oriented toward others, attuned, and willing to give more than is comfortable. What separates them is the mechanism by which change happens: where the lever sits, and which direction it pushes. This pathway's lever is contact. It moves toward and stays there.
The Heart Paqo produces change through the quality of presence itself, not through pattern recognition or somatic shift, but through the sustained reality of being genuinely met.
The Lineage Mender works by making a pattern visible. It sees what has been repeating across time and names it clearly enough that the repetition can stop. This pathway does not need to name the pattern. It enters the present moment directly and changes the quality of what is happening there. The Lineage Mender looks back to release. The Heart Paqo looks at what is in front of it right now.
The Medicine Bringer carries the same Shamanic approach and Server soul, but the Type 3 engine runs on achievement and visible result. It brings something into the world and measures the impact. The Heart Paqo does not measure. It gives without tracking the outcome. The shift this pathway produces is often invisible and unclaimed, and that is not a cost to this pathway. That is precisely how it was designed to work.
The Healing Scholar brings a Scholar soul to the same Type 2 care and Shamanic contact, which means it brings inquiry. It wants to understand the mechanism. The Heart Paqo does not require understanding before it acts. The Server soul moves toward what is needed and the Shamanic contact makes it direct. Understanding may come later, or it may not come at all. The care does not wait for it.
What You Carry
Gifts
You read the emotional state of a room within seconds of entering it, and you respond to what you actually find rather than what people are presenting. This is precise and quiet and consistently accurate.
You stay. After the crisis, after the difficulty, after the moment passes. The Server soul and Shamanic contact together produce a consistency of availability that most people have never experienced from anyone else.
You shift the quality of what is happening in a room or a relationship through proximity and genuine attention. This capacity belongs to the convergence of all three dimensions and is not reducible to any one of them.
Friction
The care you give is so seamlessly integrated into how you move through the world that you rarely stop to account for what it takes. The exhaustion arrives later and without obvious cause.
You need things too. The problem is that the Server-and-Two configuration makes those needs very hard to name aloud, and the people who love you often do not realize you are running low until you go quiet.
Moving toward others is so natural that it can substitute for attending to your own interior. Being needed is a credible reason to defer the less comfortable work of figuring out what you yourself are sorting through.
Where This Goes
The shift that changes everything is learning to receive what you have only ever given.
This pathway does not grow by becoming less loving. It grows by letting love run in both directions. The Server soul and Type 2 foundation are not problems to be corrected.
But the direction of attention, pointed outward with such consistency that it becomes structural, eventually asks to be turned around. When it does, the same quality of presence you bring to everyone else becomes available to you.
- You begin to name what you need before the absence of it becomes a problem. Not dramatically. Just accurately, and early enough that something can be done.
- You let people care for you without redirecting the conversation back to them. You stay in the receiving position long enough for it to actually land.
- You recognize the difference between love freely given and care extended to manage your own discomfort with someone else's pain. The distinction becomes visible and you can act on it.
Questions
How does The Heart Paqo handle conflict?
Direct confrontation is not the first instinct here. The Server soul and Type 2 pattern both run toward harmony. This pathway tends to absorb tension and work around it. Growth happens when you name the thing directly rather than managing the atmosphere around it until the conflict dissolves on its own.
How does this pathway develop over time?
Early, this pathway gives from a sense of necessity. Later, it learns to give from choice. The distinction is interior, but it shows up behaviorally: the person who was always available starts to have specific availability. Sharper limits, more intentional contact, and paradoxically, more impact when they show up.
How are people on this pathway most commonly misunderstood?
People read the attentiveness and assume it is performance or strategy. It is not. This pathway is genuinely tracking what you need, not running a calculation. The misread runs in both directions: some people feel overwhelmed by the attention; others assume it means the pathway holder needs nothing in return.
What does living this pathway well look like in daily life?
You answer honestly when someone asks how you are. You choose where to direct your care rather than spreading it wherever a need appears. You finish meals without checking your phone to see if someone needs something. The care is still there. It is just no longer ambient and unconditional; it is chosen.
What is the question someone on this pathway should be sitting with at this stage of life?
The question you are sitting with right now is probably a version of this: whose need am I responding to? Not as a criticism, but as a genuine inquiry. When you move toward someone, is it because they need you, or because staying in motion keeps something else from surfacing?
Can someone carry The Heart Paqo pathway with different Enneagram wings?
With Type 2 wing 1, the care runs alongside a strong internal standard. The attention to others is more structured and more likely to include honest feedback, even at relational cost. With Type 2 wing 3, the care becomes more visible and more linked to recognition. Both are genuinely loving. The wing 1 version gives more correction; the wing 3 version gives more warmth.
What is Shamanic Healing and how does it connect to the Enneagram of this pathway?
Shamanic Healing works by bringing the practitioner into direct contact with what is happening in another person's experience, close enough to shift the energy of it rather than only observing or analyzing it. For a Type 2, whose instinct is already to move toward, this approach maps exactly onto the natural behavior. The growth Shamanic Healing asks of this pathway is learning when to step back, something the Type 2 pattern resists.
